Today is my husband’s birthday! I treasure him everyday, but on his birthday, I am especially aware of the GIFT he is to ME! I am also grateful for his parents, and how they raised him to be funny, loving, and faithful.
We have many experiences to look back on. I could write a book! (Maybe I should!) All of the ups and downs give testimony to this truth from Paul’s letter to the Romans (8:28):
We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
I took him out for lunch today at the local Red Lobster. I actually can’t stand seafood, but he loves it! I had a simple chicken Caesar salad, and he had something with scallops. Doesn’t he look happy? We also shared an amazing chocolate dessert…so I was happy, too! He had to go to work (2nd shift) after this, but we will celebrate more later. We have tickets to a Cubs/Cardinals game in September. One of us will be happy after that game!
I was going to include a bunch of pictures of him in this post, but I was getting carried away. Guess that just means he’s a keeper! And I am blessed!
Happy birthday, Bruce!
