What a week it has been! It’s another Wednesday, but I feel almost like two weeks have been crammed into one. The good news is, the young man (burn victim) for whom many of us have been praying is doing better. Still not out of the woods, but better. On the homefront, Bruce and I are preparing for some major changes (all good, be not afraid!) which I will probably share this time next week. AND today I walked up 4 standard-sized stairs in physical therapy!!!! This is HUGE! I don’t recall the last time I could climb even one step! My muscles are feeling it a bit this evening but in a good way.
The verse I am sharing tonight is Philippians 4:6
“Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.”
I believe in a mighty God! Not a magician, not a genie. He does not do tricks if I say the right words, nor does He give me what I “wish” for. He is a patient God Who realizes I may not have any words, let alone the “right” ones to pray. He is a wise God Who knows that my deepest “wishes” may not be good for me or for the people I love. Most of all He is a loving God Who answers all my prayers in the time and manner that is best for my eternal soul. I am so grateful to Him time and time again. How can I pray for you this week, my friends?
